Plasma not save distributions of keyboard configs

Greetings to the community, I recently noticed that the keyboard layouts in other languages reset to English and the settings that except through the same plasma settings manager are not being saved correctly, I tried several times logging out to test but it actually restarts .

What caught my attention was a plasma notice about using fcitx 5 for a better experience in Wayland by going to the settings on the virtual keyboard and choosing it but it made no difference to the error.

I thought it could be due to plasma but I opened a session in X11 but it didn’t work, I will leave screenshots and system information for further guidance.

I will also include the configuration that I included manually to avoid the problem of automatically waking up when trying to suspend. I don’t know if I have much connection but it may be useful to know about this.

Do you need any specific log?

:kangaroo: (Consider this kangaroo my signature jsjsjsj).

Hi, after searching for information in other forums, comparing and testing other similar problems not solved here in the Manjaro forum.

Note that only the installation of Plasma 6 including fcxit5 even with the Wayland test is the problem.

It seems that this virtual keyboard creates an incompatibility with the internal keyboard manager of Plasma, which makes you lose access to the directories even of this one, which makes the system automatically not find the file, and make a new one by default in English.

The solution for those who do not use the virtual keyboard and have this specific problem, is just to remove the virtual keyboards, ibus and fcxit5, because at least I do not use it. Or in its best case just use ibus which also works well and without this particular problem.

pamac remove -o fcitx5

:kangaroo:

No such package of fcxit5 exists in the repos or the AUR.

fcitx5 and similar do.

But they should not be included in the default packages.

fcitx5 is not even suggested anywhere.

( Not even in the agnostic listing on the archwiki List of applications/Utilities - ArchWiki )

For plasma-wayland maliit-keyboard is likely the default consideration.

No idea about the ‘ibus wayland’ one or where it comes from.

I wrote it wrong, my apologies jsjs. Regarding the ibus thing, I was referring more to fcixt5, there is one in development for better compatibility with plasma.

Edit the quoted command so that there are no possible errors.
