Plasma-login-manager issue (sleep/power)

After the normal timeouts from system settings, screen lock and power settings function normally. After logging out, from the new plasma-login-manager, the screen never locks or turns off. This functioned properly with sddm, but not in the newer login-manager. Is there a setting somewhere I can define a timeout value for the plasma-login-manager so that the screen will blank? I don’t see one in the login screen item in system settings. Anyone else with this issue?

You could go to the Login Screen setting page in systemsettings, and try “Apply Plasma Settings” that’s all I did.

Thanks, I found that button just after I posted here. I stayed logged in last night, like before as a user, everything worked fine. Once I’ve gotten the important stuff done this morning, I’ll logout of this machine and see if the “apply plasma settings”, did anything. (This issue only applies to desktops, my laptops all sleep/power-off when lid closes as expected).

I only have Laptops, so I can’t help there.

It’s important to keep in mind that plasma-login-manager is supposed to come with Plasma 6.6, which is already in Manjaro Unstable.

Manjaro Stable and Testing however are still on Plasma 6.5, and thus the version of plasma-login-manager we use may still be lacking some features.

Thanks, I think I’ll have to go back to sddm for awhile. I spent a lot of yesterday waiting for the system to timeout in various configurations and I still have this issue with plasma-login-manager. I’ll try again after stable goes to plasma 6.6. I can find no mention of this in the KDE forums or reddit so I think it must be something with the various different versions. Even though we haven’t solved anything, I’ll mark this as a solution for now and try again with plasma-login after the version bumps.
