Plasma 6 ISO release

Hi all, not really a support post, but I cant post on Non-Technical Questions, so…

I want to install manjaro, however I also would like to wait for a KDE Plasma 6 .ISO release. Does anybody know any ETA (estimated time of arrival)?

Thank you in advance!

There is no need to wait. Install from a fresh KDE ISO, change to testing branch (or unstable) and update your system - and you got KDE Plasma 6.

Developer builds are available.
They will be on/of Unstable branch … so Plasma 6.

If you are waiting for Stable… then Plasma 6 has not yet reached that branch.
Once it does, then the next ISO’s will likewise include Plasma 6.
As to when that is - there is no timeline.

as @Wollie already said, install the ordinary manjaro release and after installation switch to unstable (testing might be a little bit too experimental) with

sudo pacman-mirrors --api --set-branch unstable
sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack 5 && sudo pacman -Syu

as you can read here:

Thank you for your responses! I will consider the testing branch.

Of course you can. I just double-checked the permissions for the category and everyone can post there. Either way, I’ve moved your topic there.

Strange, indeed I can now. Maybe I confused that channel with another one.
