I can only speak from experience of using PulseAudio and JACK. Both have been working well for me for a long time so I have not considered a replacement is necessary

IMO discussion of PulseAudio vs PipeWire is a false dilemma and Linux audio is more of a quandary if you consider that there is more to Linux audio than 2 conflicting sound servers

Don’t pulseaudio and pipewire exclude each other?

pipewire does not conflict with any PulseAudio packages
pipewire-pulse conflicts with pulseaudio and pulseaudio-bluetooth
pipewire-alsa conflicts with pulseaudio-alsa

I suggest check pipewire.socket and pipewire.service

systemctl --user -l status pipewire.socket pipewire.service

kpipewire might be failing to connect to PipeWire If the service is not running
but I don’t use KDE or PipeWire
