massive tearing in all games, i am gamer and streamer, i cant stream and game now …
oh and i use wayland and kde plasma 6.2.4,
in the previus stable update it worked all, i think its an kwin issue ore somthing?
and no i cant rollback, no timeshift or btrfs.
What happens if you use the X11 session. Might work better with Nvidia hardware.
its an AMD RX 7900 XTX
and yes x11 works without problems in games but all in obs is builded around wayland.
and its a bug.? any possible idea to fix it? maybe install an old october release?
Well, if you think it is Plasma 6.2 you can wait about 2 hours until the CI finished a rebuild of 6.1.5 release, get the packages and create a local repo on your end: Releases · manjaro/plasma-6.1 · GitHub

Else you can try to switch to unstable and see if the newer Nvidia beta driver works for you.

Right, sorry. Well you can try to see if it is a kernel issue then. Some reported issues with 6.11+ and AMD cards. Releases · manjaro-kernels/linux610 · GitHub. You may want to put the linux-meta packages on ignore list to not get linux610 kernel removed automatically.
small info what i testet:
downgraded the kernel to 6.10 - not worked also tearing
downgraded mesa to 24.2.4 - also tearing
switched to 6.12 kernel - same issue

Well, you could download the PKGBUILD of kwin 6.1.5, add the line epoch=1 and build it against the Plasma 6.2.4 packages you have now to see if that changes something.
6.1.5 of Kwin fixed the issue its also definitife kwin
small info the system was up to date an kernel 6.12 with kwin-6.1.5
You may need to rebuild your kwin package when qt6 gets updated to 6.8.1 or any other version.

Packages sometimes need a rebuild as shown here: Commits · main · Arch Linux / Packaging / Packages / kwin · GitLab. Simply rebuild and reinstall your kwin package as needed.
i tested a litle bit more, kwin 6.1.5 - 6.2.3 working without tearing, and its now in only one game (my main game XD Star Citizen)
