I’ve been trying to get my Pinephone to work with my phone carrier (Vodafone IT) since last Christmas, but I’ve never really had any luck.
Since a few days, however, I’ve noticed a strange behavior regarding incoming calls (outgoing ones work perfectly): the phone registers correctly with the operator but every time someone tries to call me the call stops after two rings while on the PinePhone absolutely nothing happens (no notification or entries in the ModemManager log).
Here you can hear a recording of what you hear on the caller’s phone. Note that during the whole call the PinePhone was on but did not start ringing and that, if the device was actually off, the recorded voice should start before the two beeps that follow the silence.
