Password input screen on laptop with 960x540 resolution

In my laptop with 960x540 resolution, in the password input screen, (returning from screen lock) there is this item (switch user button), that is halfway outside screen, and the current user icon is a little bit out of alignment, creating a somewhat unpleasant aestethic feel. Not really that much of an issue, but it somehow deviates from the “visual perfection” standard which is commonplace in Plasma.

Have you tried this?

Also …

why is like that, what kind of display is and what GPU ?

xrandr did not work. I was trying to change to a higher resolution and then tweak scaling and font dpi, but when I run the evince application (seems to be a gnome app) the screen resolution comes back to 960x540. The video card is an intel i915.
