Pamac tray icon update

Hi, can anyone help me solve the problem with the Pamac icon in the taskbar? All icons are white except Pamac. And worst of all, it doesn’t change when updates are available, so I have to check every time to see if there are any updates.

I am using Breeze Dark theme and Gradient-Light-Icons theme.

My system is KDE Plasma 6

This could be the problem. Not all themes have all the icons represented properly (if at all) for the various programs one would expect to use with them.

Another suggestion is to install octopi-notifier which is what I prefer anyway.

octopi-notifier is now included in octopi 0.16.2-1

Is there a way to add icon to icons theme? I have no idea how to find the place where icons for this theme are stores

Yes, but if you have to ask, then you probably can’t.

There are the actual icons, and then there’s a whole set of symbolic links to those icons, all with specific names as determined by the XDG standard. These symbolic links are how your applications invoke their icons, and if you mess with that without knowing what you’re doing, then you could end up making things much worse.

Personally, I would recommend using the octopi-notifier as suggested by @BG405, given that you’re on Plasma anyway.

It depends on how you installed the icon theme. If it was installed by way of the package manager, it’ll be under /usr/share/icons, but if you installed it from store.kde.org via the “Get new…” button in System Settings, then it’ll be in ~/.local/share/icons.
