Pamac doesn't build packages from AUR

Hello everyone, new in the forum!

Before today I have never had a problem installing/building packages from the GUI from the AUR but now I am encountering some issue when I do it.

For example, today I wanted to install ‘portainer’ (I know from the AUR comments that it became a bit unstable) and when I click on ‘Build’ → ‘Apply’ it remain waiting for ‘Check inter-conflicts’ and the GUI is not giving me any error.

So, I’ve tried running the GUI from the terminal to see if some logs are given

pamac-manager:

pamac_transaction_clone_build_files_if_needed: assertion 'pkgname != NULL' failed

It is the same for every package I would like to install from the AUR (teams based on electron, icaclient and many others).

Sometimes it completely crashes, this is the logs i took

Thanks in advance, much appreciated

I haven’t found anything suitable, so I’ve opened a new report.
https://gitlab.manjaro.org/applications/pamac/-/issues/1242

a workaround for this issue is:

pacman -S yay
yay -S ‘the-aur-package’

hope it helps.

Thanks for the tip, it works
