Pamac AUR update error

Well, no branch is perfect, I suppose.

Even Stable; it’s very name engenders an overall presumption of stability, which clearly isn’t the case. Not that I expect it to, however, many no doubt do.

Ever since Branches became a thing on Manjaro there have been old-timers who swear Unstable is actually the most stable.
I’m not entirely sure where my opinion on that lands … I might argue Testing is the least stable, as it seems to be the most abused (with changes and hotfixes et al).

Another opinion:
"Yochanan
Manjaro team

AUR is not officially supported by Arch or Manjaro. If you use AUR on Manjaro, use our unstable branch. Problem solved."
This inspired me to switch to the Manjaro unstable branch.

I suppose that would make sense for a heavy user of the AUR; which I am not. I do use a few packages, but I avoid it wherever possible. The thing that disturbs me about the AUR, is that so many seem to blindly install a package regardless of its existence in the usual repos. Perhaps some don’t even realize it.
