but the game poe tells me that i only have a “Intel hd graphics 4000”

Is there the wrong driver installed on my laptop? How can i change it to Iris XE graphic? Thanks for helping  Please tell me what info you also need for to help and how i can get it cause i am only a low level linux user, do not know much.

There is only one driver for all Intel GPU. Maybe your GPU pretending to be another to avoid problems in game. Something like here

Some of the Intel Xe graphics processors identify as Intel 4000 — it’s their internal product ID — so that is perfectly fine.

Uuh, sounds crazy :scream: What if the games do internal settings cause of product ID? Not the best doing by Intel. Ok, i can play the game, the performance is good enough. So thanks for the answers. I will ignore it and hope Intel will do better in future.

According to me, that would be a terrible limitation. It’s internal, not for use by anyone else.

AFAIK games work with the driver for identifying capabilities anyway. Else, what would the use of a driver be?
