I tried to build qt6-base-git to check if the qt bug is solved but had a build error:
install: omitting directory ‘qtbase/LICENSES’
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package_qt6-base-git().
Aborting…
:: Unable to build qt6-base-git - makepkg exited with code: 4
can anyone help how to get more info about this exit code?
thx!
does anyone know a good alternative to organicmaps? I need offline map support.
Using AUR packages can often expose you to this kind of lib incompatibility for the application you like, after a system update.
Over years, I try to avoid AUR if the same package is available via Flatpak or AppImage, if it is not contained in official repositories.
Even Google Maps allows you to download an area of your choice when you are connected
for use when you are not.
I use that feature all the time.
(you can’t build routes in offline mode
but the maps are there …)
I just built organigmaps-git
It took a long time - a very long time to fetch all the code
and about equally as long to build it (a VM on a not very high powered host)
But I can’t begin to use it - the window is just black, no map is displayed.
