Optimus Manager is not working

Hey I'm using kernel version 6.11.2 and for some reason I'm not able to use optimus manager and even the gui, it doesn't load up. When I try to load it up on Konsole it just says "ERROR: the latest GPU setup attempt failed at Xorg pre-start hook.

Log at /var/log/optimus-manager/switch/switch-20241017T200706.log
Cannot execute command because of previous errors."
And when I used the inxi -Fza command, I realized my dgpu has no driver and mentions N/A. I really need to use my dgpu, it’s a Geforce RTX 3050 mobile, for my games. What do I do, please send help.

If you don’t want to share diagnostic data, other KDE users might still be able to make an educated guess about what might help you to resolve your problem. But they might be busy dealing facts and data supplied by other users, so you might have to wait for speculative suggestions

Good.
Take this as an opportunity to use something better.

Even if you dont use some other switcher utility … it would be best to begin by removing anything related to optimus-manager.

damn ok. For weeks now I have been struggling to try and use my dgpu, im trying anything at this point :sob: :sob:

Just to make sure its understood.

You do not need a switcher tool to access the dGPU.

Just using the hybrid PRIME profile you can then use it with prime-run.

Those switching tools are only for selectively booting into ‘nvidia only’ or ‘intel only’ (and are not the only way of doing that either).
