Optimizing new install and setup on an ASUS FX505DT-HN657T

I’m looking to optimize a new install of Pahvo. Can anyone recommend tips on optimizing performance on my laptop?

Here’s my system specs from $ inxi -Fazy:

  • Highlight it and use the Preformatted text </> toolbar button.

  • Add three backticks ` above and below the text (Markdown):

    ```
When posting here, try to limit your question to … well… one question!
Because now you have a myriad of questions and the more questions you ask in one question, you need an über-guru to be to be able to answer all of your questions.
In this case, finding an expert on:
  • ASUS FX505DT-HN657T
  • nVidia
  • CPU overclocking
  • Disk partitioning
  • Performance optimisation
will be very hard to find, so edit your question by clicking the 3 dots and then the pencil below it and ask one quantifiable question and then create a new topic to ask one more question per… well… question!
