Whenever I show desktop if I click on another program instead of only opening that window it opens all the windows that weren’t minimized before
Is there any way to make this work like windows where after showing the desktop it acts like I pressed the the minimize window button on all the open programs and opening something from the desktop doesn’t open anything else

I believe there is a widget that allows you to do this. It is similar to the “Show Desktop” widget and even has the same icon, but reportedly — I haven’t tried this — it would do as you would like, and it’s called “Minimize All Windows”.
If it’s not in the list of widgets that come preinstalled, then you’re likely to find it at store.kde.org.
