For the past week or so whenever pamac has an update it will display a bar that goes across the entirety of the top of my main monitor. It is about two inches from top to bottom and takes up a huge amount of space. I’ve recreated the look using gedit, I haven’t thought to screenshot it when it happens.

Today I booted up my computer and my backgrounds were gone and replaced with a white screen.

Why might this be happening?

create a new test user, reboot, log in with the test user, and see if it has the same issue

Newest update seemed to fix this.

Hi! I am experiencing this as well. I did the latest update, but the bar that goes across the entirety of the top of my monitor keeps popping up.

I took a new screenshot a few days ago, does it look like this?

Thanks for responding. Yes, it did. But I found a solution: In the Gnome Tweak-tool reset to default. I haven’t tried reactivating e.g. the shell-type, icons etc. I used to have yet.
