OBS and MbedTLS disaster

Has anyone gotten the version of OBS in the repo working properly? 30.2.1-1 appears to have been built using an older version of MbedTLS (3.6.0) which has completely broken TLS and encrypted streaming which is required for facebook and other services using RTMPS rather than RTMP.

Anyone know when Manjaro package team will update MbedTLS to the latest 3.6.2 and THEN build obs-studio with 30.2.3?

I’ve been holding off on upgrading packages on a livestream PC for MONTHS due to this disaster from MbedTLS 3.6.0 and the move to jump to the flawed update and not revert. I’ve been keeping the programs installed on another machine running updates to check when everything might be fixed, but we’re still not there yet.

I cannot use the flatpak version (which does indeed work) because I need specialized plugins for NDI. I basically have a production Manjaro machine stuck in time.

Those are both packages we take over in binary form from Arch, and the versions are still the same between Manjaro Stable and Manjaro Unstable, which means that the two packages in the Stable branch are also the exact same version as in Arch proper.

Therefore, the only option is to wait util Arch proper updates their packages. :vulcan_salute:

it looks like they just updated it 5 days ago. I’ll have to wait until the package rolls out to the repos.

This package also depends on a QT update. So it might be time to pull in updates to the unstable channel to make sure nothing gets wrecked LOL.
