NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M is capable of playing games

As the topic. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M for which the nvidia 340.108 drivers are no longer officially supported by NVIDIA. I have recently felt the urge to play retro games and hence the question arises whether it is possible to play with such a graphic card as I have?

Is it possible? → Yes
Should you do it? → No

If you mean by retro games “Super Mario” running in an SNES emulator, sure, but that doesn’t actually need the nvidia driver.

Keep in mind that it has no support for vulkan, thus opengl will only work, which means you can forget running windows games in proton on steam, at least at a playable state although opengl can also work if no vulkan is available.

Not sure if it still works but it should be there’s a guide from philm on compiling the 340 drivers yourself if you need them

Not sure what games you’ll be able to play though
