I tried to fix the Flickering issue in

Flickering in task bar and most applications, some worse than others

Since the new application and reset, my taskbar flickers heavily whenever I hover my mouse over it. I set it to hide unless I touch my mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen, and now when it shows itself, it’s almost uncomfortable to look at. I don’t think it harms my ability to click on it anywhere, so it’s probably some kind of display problem. Pop-up notifications also flicker heavily, and it’s more prominent in some programs than others, especially if a video is running in the background. …

Anyway, it seems that the current driver is not compiled against the current kernel version, therefore it cannot load. Did you try the current LTS kernel 6.12?

Try running nvidia-recommended-driver.

mhwd prioritises the open driver - this may or may not be desirable.

To work around that you can reset the changes made by mhwd

mhwd -r pci video-nvidia-570xx

Then

mhwd is also attempting to configure your GPU according to this configuration script
