Nvidia driver not working, davinci resolve

this thread is following the thread
/no-non-freedriver-with-freshinstall/59117/

i have installed video-nvidia and xorg d’ont launch
with hybrid driver xorg launch but nvidia card is not on

~ >>> nvidia-settings [127]

ERROR: NVIDIA driver is not loaded

ERROR: Unable to load info from any available system

I need video-nvidia because i want to use davinci resolve

(i paste the buil file of aur )
Hardware support is limited. Nvidia cards should work fine.
If you’re running a hybrid setup, try with primusrun/optirun.

Please post the output of inxi -G, xrandr --listproviders, and head -n999 /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/* /etc/X11/xorg.conf, and the latest Xorg log (it’s either in /var/log/ or ~/.local/share/xorg/).

i replace a chars to not be detected a “links”

with hybrid driver

next step ? rm -rf /*

The problem is discussed in the Nvidia developer forum: RTX 3060 Mobile Linux driver - #6 by suchagoodguy2 - Linux - NVIDIA Developer Forums

The solution is described here: RTX 3060 Mobile Linux driver - #7 by generix - Linux - NVIDIA Developer Forums :

  1. Check for BIOS updates and install them.
  2. Add pci=realloc to the kernel commandline.

the bios update solve the first problem the driver is loaded

now how to use with video-nvivda an not hybrid driver ?

EE server error
EE no screen found

or what mean
If you’re running a hybrid setup, try with primusrun/optirun.
on davinci aur

Why do you think you need video-nvidia? Because you probably don’t, since video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-prime is more or less the exact same thing. They contain the exact same NVIDIA driver.

Try prime-run <name of program>.

ok the solution is not update the bios,
this works because the update has reset by settings

if you have boot with uefi with csm go back to uefi only

hmm strage i reinstall davinci and it not launch in normal mode

i try things and i may reopen a new thread for davinci if it not works

ok thank you evryone this works without %u

prime-run /opt/resolve/bin/resolve

this not works on gnome launcher

i d’ont understand what is prime-run but thanks

Lol why people keep using csm on a brand new laptops and motherboards in beyond my understanding…
Pretty much anything released after 2013 should be used in UEFI mode.

because i boot with ventoy and it not works without csm

Well it works actually (on my side). If not, then maybe the use of another tool for running a live system like Rufus is a better option. CSM is a last resort mode for maybe some emergency cases or when one is just curious about it.

rufus is not very powerful , ventoy allow me to mount iso.

when ventoy is installed on my usb i have just to put iso on the key and i can have dual boot with a ton of iso without rewrite the key every time
moreover i can use this key as a normal key
