Nvidia Driver causes issues on KDE

No, I originally had it all set to auto. What’s annoying is the manufacturer does in fact say it supports the refresh rate, but it doesn’t say specifically which resolutions these rates apply too, I noticed the lower ones had 75Hz appear for them.

what is output of command xrandr?

PS: I don’t see manufacturer claims about the 75Hz refresh rate.

Oh! What’s even stranger I noticed, when I go into the monitor’s panel settings, and I get the information for it; I see that the horizontal refresh rate is 67.7Hz and the vertical one is 60Hz

So nope, no 75Hz for that resolution. 60Hz at this resolution is the proper and selected current mode it’s how it should be (see the * and + signs).

//EDIT: don’t start bothering with the horizontal and vertical refresh rate this is out of the scope of this question.

Awh alright, thanks for the info. I’m still working on restoring my computer’s information and so far, the changes seem to have made the gpu alot more stable (but I’ve yet to test Vivaldi and Youtube). WIll update when the computer finally finishes restoring

I have unfortunate news, the issue is still occurring even with the changes suggested made. It seems to happen whenever I have a YouTube video playing in my browser (Vivaldi). I’m not real sure what to do now

This may be because your browser works on the CPU and not the GPU and it may struggle to properly play medias.

Look for Vivaldi hardware acceleration and see if you can configure it properly for that.

I’d start with another browser first, e.g. Firefox or Chrome.

I can turn it on and off, but I did go and turn it off and the issue still occurs

Happened on FireFox too
