Thanks for the link. I’ve downloaded a theme from the store but the procedure to install it is not clear. One is supposed to look into /home/yourusername/.local/share/plasma/look-and-feel/ but there is no such directory.
The instruction is clear and the location correct
If the folder doesn’t exist - you create it.
~/.local/share is the user pendent to /usr/share - the local folder takes precedence over /usr/share

OK then, I’ve created the folder
/home/yourusername/.local/share/plasma/look-and-feel/
with the downloaded files.
I’ve installed the Plasma Look And Feel Explorer as indicated in the Wiki and followed all the steps. My new theme has been created and is visible from the system configuration panel together with the other global themes.
