NordVPN cannot detect internet

Hey, guys! I hope you’re well!

I’ve got the NordVPN Snap installed. It gave me a list of sudo permissions to give it (I don’t recall which ones and no longer have access to the list, but I entered all of them and restarted my computer a few times within this process).

The software does appear to be running correctly, but any time I hit the quick connect on the tray icon, it says that I’m not connected to the internet and if the problem persists to reach out to their customer support. I get the same issue when I open a terminal window and run “nordvpn connect United_States” for example.

I will probably end up reaching out to them as the prompt suggested, but I know linux issues are often easier to resolve within the community. I’m not very savvy with more complex issues within the operating system, but is there any obvious reason as to why NordVPN would believe I don’t have internet access even though I do? (Typing this message on the same computer, for example).

I’m assuming it doesn’t have access or can’t detect it for whatever reason.

Thanks again! <3

Hi @MrDaisyBates,

Have you checked here that everything is set up correctly?

I’d recommend that, as it’s tried and trusted. (Apparently.) In fact I’d recommend it above anything you’d get from them directly.

Hello there!

I have indeed not tried that and will open it immediately and try to troubleshoot from there.

Good or bad, I will be back here to update with any findings. I really appreciate your time and expertise!
