Giving the command…
sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --useredit <username> --administrator yes
…from the terminal seems to have allowed me now to delete/remove the app, so I can try again.
**Note" Replace with your user name.

EDIT:
Spoke too soon. No it is removed and no way to add it back on!:

How did you install it?

pamac manager

I did just try to install the Enterprise version, with success. But as I look at it, it appears to not have the server portion in this, since it is just a client. So will uninstall.

The package nomachine is what you’re looking for. It works perfectly.

Thanx. I have tried to install but the install fails, as shown above.

Ok, open a terminal and create a folder to work. You need to download the PKGBUILD. I don’t use pamac, so I’ll give you instructions for trizen (install it with sudo pacman -S trizen or using pamac).

Issue trizen -G nomachine - this will download the PKGBUILD and it’s extra files to a folder.

Enter there and edit the PKGBUILD. Then change the first sha512 sum to the value of this one.

Instead of doing the above, you can issue updpkgsums and the files will be downloaded and sha sums will be automatically updated. I just wanted to point you to the github page because that’s posted in the AUR comments (always read AUR comments when you have problems building packages).

Save the file and then run makepkg -s to build the package.

Then install the package with sudo pacman -U <path-to-the-package> (don’t forget the package ends in xz or zstd).

This is the proper way to do it. A simpler way is to build and install it with trizen -S --skipinteg nomachine - this will skip integrity and key check.

Did my best. Overcame some issues where maybe I needed to change directories?
Ended up with this:
makepkg -s

Sorry! It seems there are other changes (yeah, I forgot about a bunch of things!).

Delete the folder created by trizen. Then, on your work directory, issue git clone https://github.com/Taekus/nomachine

Enter the directory nomachine, run makepkg -s and then install the package with sudo pacman -U <package-name>

I do not know which folder was created by trizen. I had to assume it was the nomachine directory in the WORKFOLDER, so I was able to delete that. However now it says:

$ git clone https://github.com/Taekus/nomachine
fatal: destination path 'nomachine' already exists and is not an empty directory.

…so I guess I did not do what you wanted but I did follow explicitly.

I have to leave town now, and I guess because I have no nomachine, I will not be able to do any further work on this until after I return in a week.

Thanx for your help. I will try to look here again, before I leave the house.

And I guess I should ask… Why is this happening?

Manjaro is usually very dependable. This was out of the blue.
Is it due to a bad package in AUR?

Thanx again.

You need to delete the nomachine folder: rm -Rf nomachine

Then follow the steps I outlined.

This is happening because the maintainer of the package is on holidays and there was a new version released in the meantime. The repo from github is from a user who had the kindness to update it.

Thank you!
I just got back from my trip and will have to finish my work before I can try this. I appreciate your response because I have another trip where remote access will be very important! I will report back.
