No wine games working (Nvidia Card)

Neither steam nor wine games are working and lutris outputs this in debug mode

X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)

Provide output of inxi -Gxz

What is missing most importantly, and therefore information, is how the problem continues to occur then you need to provide the output. Otherwise no one here will give you an answer to such a question, and it may turn out that all the tips on how to deal with this are already available here, just search.

The main problem is that people will give all the random things passing to their heads, and in the end the problem may be completely different that what people would assume it is.

This is the output i got

In Lutris go to Preferences->Global Options. “Advanced” switch should be on (upper right corner).

What are the following options set to:

  • Enable NVIDIA Prime Renderer Offload
  • Use discrete graphics
  • Optimus launcher (NVIDIA optimus laptop)
  • Vulkan ICD loader

I switched to a older version of proton and everything seems to be working
