Hello! I’m new to forums and to linux (outside of steam deck usage haha) but i wanted to give an old laptop of mine new life (acer aspire m5) and cannot for the life of me get Wi-Fi working on the thing. this is the third distro ive tried in 48 hours. I have a Broadcom Chipset BCM4352. it says drivers are installed and in fact the bluetooth works but the wifi just will not play nice. if theres no solution drivers wise can i buy a new wifi card for cheap that has better compatibility? if so what card?
Thank you!

Start with installing linuxXX-broadcom-wl
where XX is your kernel version. Make sure it is either 61 or 66, if needed install a LTS kernel. Restart and try.
The alternative would be broadcom-wl-dkms
.

Hi @corvid_lenore and welcome to the Manjaro community.
As a new user, please take some time to familiarise yourself with Forum requirements; in particular, the many ways to use the forum to your benefit:
You might want to configure some swap space sometime soon:

Forgive my lack of knowledge but what does this mean/how would I do it? Also does it make any difference that I upgraded my RAM from 2gb to 8gb after my last reply?
Install an LTS kernel - versions 6.1 and 6.6 are current LTS kernels.
Install the linuxXX-broadcom-wl
driver - substitute 'XX` for the kernel version you install.
I hope that’s a little clearer.
It would make a difference for the general performance of your machine (2GB RAM is likely insufficient); otherwise, no real difference to your issue.

When I try to install the driver it just says command not found
. Is there something I need to put before it? I did change my kernel to the LTS 66
EDIT: I think I figured it out! I will restart and report back.
What command did you use to install the driver?
I used pamac install linux66-broadcom-wl
and restarted and it FINALLY worked!! Thanks everyone!
