No spell checking in LibreOffice

Facing issue with the current LibreOffice-Fresh and LibreOffice-Still. Cannot seems to get the spell checker to work eventhough “hunspell” is installed.

You need to install a dictionary too:

Then install a language dictionary for hunspell like hunspell-en_us for American English or hunspell-de for German (check the AUR if your language is not in the official repositories). Then enable the Writing aids by selecting the check-box in Tools > Options > Language Settings > Writing Aids > Hunspell SpellChecker after restarting LibreOffice.

Ah - yes querying local database - I mistook it for the repo - which in case of custom package is also local

Thanks for the tip. Installed “hunspell-en_us” and now LibreOffice Spell-Checker works as expected. Installing “hunspell” package alone is not enough as it does NOT install “hunspell-en_us” package.
