!!ALSA/HDA dmesg
!!--------------

You might need the hdspmixer package installed for sound to become active on the ADAT outs.

just noticed my kernel version is too recent (5.9.11)
anyway the drivers were not available even for kernel v.2

System data shows that the card is recognised in ALSA RME Hammerfall HDSP 9632 and has the correct driver snd_hdsp

https://narkive.com/unCzRWYa:5.512.132
there is no conventional mixer on this card, so alsamixer and other
“generic mixer” apps will do nothing. you need to use hdspmixer.

Check if you have alsa-tools installed for tools hdspmixer and hdspconf needed for this card to work in ALSA
(possibly hdsploader but I am not sure if that is needed for this card)

I could install HDSPConf and HDSPMixer but none of them launch :frowning:

I suggest you reboot system
and try running hdspconf and hdspmixer in terminal
