No output or input devices found on Macbook Pro

Hello all,
New to linux and am still learning everything, I Just installed Manjaro KDE last week and everything has been working perfectly except for this sound issue. I have no sound at all when working in Manjaro. It says no input or output devices found.
If I go into the audio settings, I see that I have a built-in audio card which is inactive, and I cannot change the profile from anything other than off.

Please let me know if you need any other information to help :grinning:

Ok so, I followed everything you were saying and everything was fine until I got to pavucontrol.
When I open up pavucontrol configuration I see this.

And for all of the other clickable profiles, they all say unplugged and unavailable.

And this is my output devices screen.

check the thread for the description and procedure of the github-link

Yes, I tried to follow the github-link but I am having the same problem as the other person. I am getting the following message when trying to build the drivers:

linux kernel headers not found in /usr/src:
Debian (eg Ubuntu): /usr/src/linux-headers-5.15.19-1-MANJARO
Fedora: /usr/src/kernels/5.15.19-1-MANJARO
assuming the linux kernel headers package is not installed
please install the appropriate linux kernel headers package:
sudo apt install linux-headers-MANJARO

here is inxi:

CPU: dual core Intel Core i5-7360U (-MT MCP-) speed/min/max: 600/400/3600 MHz
Kernel: 5.15.19-1-MANJARO x86_64 Up: 44m Mem: 4584.6/7816.0 MiB (58.7%)
Storage: 233.76 GiB (5.0% used) Procs: 244 Shell: Zsh inxi: 3.3.12

I couldn’t see how you got the other person to build the drivers correctly.

@ishaan2479 gave the solution in the thread, follow his steps

So I did everything exactly what was listed and am still having the same problem.

Step 1: Installed the 5.15.19-1 Kernel
Step 2: Installed the corresponding kernel headers
Step 3: Installed the packages ‘make’, ‘gcc’ and ‘wget’
Step 4: Downloaded the driver from GitHub - davidjo/snd_hda_macbookpro:
Step 5: Changed script as per ishaanbhimwal’s instructions
Step 6: Installed the script as described on github

I also made sure my alsamixer was not muted. When I check into my audio settings, it says I have a inactive audio card and the profile only stays off. Not sure what else I can do now.

Does anyone have any idea on what else could be off in my computer?
Sound was working perfectly in the live version off the usb
