No notification history?

I haven’t really thought about this until very recently when starting using a script to notify me when AUR updates are ready for me.

When I installed manjaro I got notifications, but now thinking back, it seems I get zero notifications or any kind of history for a while.

notify-send -u critical "This is a test" "test test test"

The ability for certain notifications to remain in the notification history depends on the individual applications’ settings, although there is a generic Other Applications setting too for non-listed applications.

In some cases however, certain applications — in my personal experience, this is most notably the case for GTK-based applications — do not offer any finer control over their notification settings other than allowing them to send notifications or not.
