No network after update

Hello together,

I have a big problem: NO Network after the update.

Since the update 20230918 I have no network. I use kernel 6.1 LTS and Kernel 6.5.
With both kernels I don´t have network after this update.

Here is my system after the update without networking:

You can see, there is not network driver active after the update.

Please help me with this problem.

Thank you very much

Strangely, I just applied the update and rebooted. I’m still using the 8168 driver (according to Manjaro Settings Manager), but it’s working with kernel 6.1…

Hello @techm,
the driver was working fine untill 6.5.2.x. Only the last update to kernel 6.5.3.x killed the network.

At the moment, i rolled back with timeshift to kernel 6.5.1.

The same problem do I have with LTS Kernel 6.1.x after this update.

I did the update with sudo pacman -Syu

Ah good stuff! thank you for clarifying.

Save yourself the agony and ditch that r8168 driver. Use the in-kernel r8169 instead. The instructions on how to do it are a couple of posts higher up.

Then, update your system again.

Hello @Aragorn,

thank your for your tip. My english is not so good, but now all works fine again with R8169.

Network:
Device-1: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet
    driver: r8169
IF: enp4s0 state: up speed: 1000 Mbps duplex: full mac: 8c:89:a5:99:8b:33

Thank you so much for your solution.
