Cuando lanzo un comando ‘sudo’ todo funciona como se espera: introduzco la contraseña y se ejecuta. Pero si abro desde el menú o la terminal una aplicación que necesita permisos ‘root’, aparece la ventanita flotante para la contraseña, temblando a derecha e izquierda durante un segundo y se cierra. No da tiempo a hacer nada. Si la app fue lanzada desde la terminal, el mensaje de error es:

Por si es relevante, para realizar la última actualización del sistema tuve que recrear el depósito de claves, ya que los paquetes del mantenedor dbermond@archlinux.org aparecían marcados como de poca confianza y ‘pamac’ se negaba a instalarlos. Después de probar varias soluciones, la que funcionó fue:
sudo rm -r /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/
sudo pacman-key --init
sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux manjarosudo
sudo pacman -Sc # may or may not be necessary
pacman -Syyu
El cuarto comando no lo ejecuté, ya que la actualización transcurrió sin problemas. Pero tras acabar el proceso, me encontré este inconveniente. Antes de la recreación / actualización no sucedía. También he probado a iniciar Manjaro con los 3 kernels que tengo instalados: 5.10, 5.15 y 6.1 sin éxito.
