No HDMI output HP laptop

Hello,

Sorry for my English, I’m not very fluent…

I installed a Manjaro distrib. on a little HP laptop for years. I had problems making the HDMI video output work but it finally did, I don’t know how…

I also had problem with bluetooth. After opening the laptop, it finally work, and I still don’t know why… But now, the HDMI video output doesn’t work. It is listed in the arandr menu in grey.

The journalctl tells that Portal is not running:

    pipewire-pulse[1276]: mod.rt: Can't find org.freedesktop.portal.Desktop. Is xdg-desktop-portal running?
pipewire-pulse[1276]: mod.rt: found session bus but no portal

systemd[1174]: xdg-desktop-portal-gnome.service: Job xdg-desktop-portal-gnome.service/start failed with result 'dependency'.
xdg-desktop-por[1467]: Failed to create settings proxy: Erreur lors de l’appel de StartServiceByName pour org.freedesktop.impl.portal.desktop.gnome : timeout

It seems that lightdm is also involved:

lightdm[1150]: pam_systemd_home(lightdm:auth): systemd-homed is not available: Unit dbus-org.freedesktop.home1.service not found.
lightdm[1150]: gkr-pam: unable to locate daemon control file

There’s also a problem with the atomisp driver but I don’t think it is linked to the HDMI output problem…

Here is my inxi -Fza output :

Can share the output of: xrandr ?

Looks like there is no HDMI involved? It is a DVI connection.

Could this be related? Check if you find a solution within this thread.

Here is the xrandr:

Could the HDMI cable be out of order ? It worked fine till monday 06/12…

As a last chance, I have changed the HDMI cable and you know what ? Tada ! It works…

I don’t understand why the old cable now doesn’t work. It was fine till the begining of the week. I have no over way to test it.

There is still a problem with xdg-desktop-portal… I look the link you gave upside. Thank you !
