Hi!
When I start the intall of manjaro 6.6 LTS, i have no ethernet connection. On my second drive I have Windows and ethernet works. Unfortunatly I have no Wifi.
When I continue and install manjaro I get a black screen after login, mouse is working. Maybe a graphical Problem.
I don’t know what to do.
I have:
i7 4790K
Asus Maximus VI Hero
GeForce GTX 1080
32 GB Ram & 250 GB SSD

The problem the ethernet I fixed, was a disturbance.
The problem with the black screen I fixed with this:
This post assumes you are using proprietary Nvidia drivers and the grub bootloader that Manjaro installed. Tested on a desktop 2070 super with archlinux, Manjaro, kde, and gnome.
For anyone interested in enabling Wayland on NVIDIA. Source material can be found
* DRM kernel modesetting -ArchWiki and
** Preserve video memory after suspend -ArchWiki.
This is also where you should be able to find updated instructions in the future if manjaro maintains compatibility with the upstream distro.

Always post the Output from your system (so we can help you better) and mark the info with control+e:
inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width
I also recommend to Edit your first Posting and copy the additional info’s to it, instead double postings.
Edit:
Do you run into this problems, after you changed to Wayland?
You can also try differend Kernels like 6.1 (LTS) or 6.7 (non-LTS). But since you don’t have no Internet Connection, i have no idea how to fix it… i normally would roll back my system to the last working state.
But it looks to me that you fresh installed Manjaro, is that true?
Did you used the newest ISO?

So your Manjaro runs flawless now?

Yes I installed it fresh and used the newest ISO.
I’m glad that I have the Desktop now!
But, when I go to lockscreen and want to go back to Desktop I get a blackscreen (without mouse). Frozen. Have to restart the Computer…

Always try to evade hardreset… there are some ways to evade it.
First i would try to use TTY (control+alt+f3) and switch back to desktop (control+alt+f2).
You can also shutdown your system from TTY.
Second is to activate REISUB, when your system is really frozen (almost) to death.
You are using Wayland instead of Xorg.
Switch - use Xorg session.
The session type is changed at the login screen - I presume, I don’t know …
I have no personal experience but from reading here,
Wayland support in Plasma/KDE can be problematic,
as well as having an Nvidia graphic card - which you also have.
Log in there - if you can.
then type reboot
or systemctl poweroff

Yes I know Hardreset is never good. I got it to reboot.
And I tried the start with Xorg. I don’t have the blackscreen after lockscreen anymore.
Thank you guys!

Fun Fact, KDE want Wayland as the new standard.
As far as i know, the developers want to drop Xorg support in a few years.
Fedora has announced the demise of Xorg as well - discussed on KDE
KDE Plasma 6 is successor to KDE Plasma 5 created by the KDE Community. It is based on Qt 6 and KDE Frameworks 6 and brings many changes and improvements over previous versions. For Fedora Linux, the transition to KDE Plasma 6 will also include...
