No audio input from any internal and external microphones

Hello, I recently noticed that my microphone was not working anymore, not either the internal microphone of my laptop or any external microphone I connect (more specifically headphones or jackphone). The sound is fine, the problem is the microphone.

I am using pavucontrol to check all of my sound settings, in the tab “Input Devices” I can see if the microphone is at least receiving some input but whenever I spoke or clapped my hands to test if there was some audio input, there was none, the bar is completely gray; meaning that there is no audio input at all.

I’ve followed the instructions of the “Arch Wiki” for troubleshooting with pulseaudio but it didn’t solve the problem.
Now I have two input devices called “Built-in Audio” (it appeared after doing what the wiki told) and “Built-in Audio Analog Stereo”, but no matter which one I set as fallback, there is no audio input.

I’ve also tried to see what kind of problem I might have using alsamixer, and there supposed to be the setting for “input source” but it doesn’t appear for me so I don’t know how could I solve that either (I’ve searched multiple times on Google but I couldn’t find any solution).

I also installed sof-firmware to check if that solved my problem but I had no luck.

The microphone is healthy, it works on Windows and it used to work on Manjaro but i don’t know what could’ve happened for it to stop detecting audio input.

I can give any information that is required to solve my problem.

As I mentioned in the original post, the only changes I made where the ones specified in the Arch Wiki for Troubleshooting with Pulseaudio (Microphone not detected by PulseAudio) and installing sof-firmware.

Apparently those two changes were enough to get the microphone to start detecting input again; however several reboots were required for Manjaro to start using the right configuration, I guess. To be honest, I don’t know exactly why or how the microphone started to work again, the first time I made the changes specified the microphone wasn’t working, neither the second or third time I rebooted.

I’ll post some information that may be useful to someone that might have the same problem I had.
