  1. Disable Bluetooth (Internal speakers only)

  2. Execute:

    alsamixer

and ensure that the volume is higher than 50 by pressing ↑ until it is…

If that doesn’t help, let us know…

:crossed_fingers:

It was set to 100 and no sound is coming out. My Bluetooth is disabled.

Execute:

pamac install alsa-tools
hdajackretask

and post a screenshot of that window, please…

:+1:

No speakers are detected at all! :open_mouth:

Can you override Pin 0X11 and see if you have any speakers in the drop box that’ll show up there???

If yes, please select the speakers and click Install boot override and then reboot and try again.
If no, I’ll have to get a more knowledgeable person involved in this…

:scream:

Thanks for trying Fabby I really appreciate it. However it didn’t work. Could you tag someone who would know more than you about this issue?

So I connected my HyperX USB and connected that to my speakers and that let sound come out of my right speaker, and if I connect it via 3.5mm to my bluetooth speak it works. I’m not sure if that’s any help or if that just makes things more confusing.

  • screenshots of hdajackretask (not maximised: just the part that shows the information, please)
  • pacmd dump of those two configs too, please?

@nikgnomic I’m :tropical_drink: and this is way above my :exploding_head: . Could you have a look when you wake up, please?

:hugs: :+1:

hdajackretask

It just shows the window

ALSA woke us up to write new data to the device...

I get this warning sometimes on my system too
it does not cause problems for audio as far as I know
you can use systemctl --user restart pulseaudio to clear the message

I suggest you run hdajackretask again and click Remove boot override to make sure any changes are removed

Then reboot system
and get ALSA information

sudo alsa-info.sh --upload

Your ALSA information is located at http://alsa-project.org/db/?f=88e19049d608b82a102afd1215c51fbc674d3eef
Please inform the person helping you.

I hope this is what you were looking for

You should consider updating BIOS - PRIME B450-PLUS|Motherboards|ASUS Global

Headphone output is [0%] [-64.00dB] [off]
which is robably from the Auto-Mute Mode setting in ALSA
Most desktop system users do not want this feature turned on
The auto-mute function might not work correctly during system boot if headphones are kept plugged in and audio to both Speaker and Headphone can be muted, until the Headphone is unplugged

So I suggest you disable the auto-mute

amixer -c1 sset 'Auto-Mute Mode' disabled

But everything else appears to be working ok in ALSA

Yeah that fixed it! Thank you!
