No AMD-V in bios

Hi,

i wanted to use Virtualbox and can’t find an option to enable AMD-V in bios.

I do have a

Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-7B79/X470 GAMING PLUS (MS-7B79), BIOS A.40 06/28/2018

and a AMD Ryzen 5 2600X. Must be possible to run virtualbox?

Hello @randomdude :wink:

Verify if AMD-V is enabled on linux:

 LANG=C lscpu | grep Virtualization

If so, then virtualbox should be able to use Virtualization.

The output is:

Virtualization:                  AMD-V

But when I try to start a debian.iso i get from virtualbox:

AMD-V is disabled in the BIOS (or by the host OS) (VERR_SVM_DISABLED).
