New UK Mirror - need testing from UK and EU!

Hi everyone,

I have setup a new mirror located in London, UK.

Big thanks to hostworld.uk for kindly donating the server to be used as a Manjaro mirror.

HTTPS: manjaro
Additional server info: https://mirror.cyberhost.uk

Currently syncing hourly from mirror.alpix.eu

It would be great if you could test it, any feedback is appreciated :slight_smile:

Just a little update, submitted a GitLab issue to be added to the official mirror list.

Hi all,

To give back to the Manjaro project I created a new mirror, however my GitLab issue to be added to the Official Mirror list has been pending for 4 months now (9th May).

Is there any reason for this?

If it’s just lack of time, I’d be interested in becoming a contributor to help out with this and to add the other mirrors pending :slight_smile:

Yeah, you did get a few :heart: but didn’t get many testers to vouch for your new server…

So I’d advise you to post a json file to make tester’s life easier and get a few to post positive comments because the UK could use a new server that syncs hourly and then we’ll take it from there…

The mirror has been running for a few months now, just looking for some testers who can vouch for my server so it can be added to the official list!

Any testing and feedback is appreciated :slight_smile:

To test:

  1. Change your /var/lib/pacman-mirrors/custom-mirrors.json to contain:

        ],

  1. Run sudo pacman-mirrors -f to use the mirror.

Remove the custom config with sudo pacman-mirrors -c all
