I’m now building my fourth or fifth Manjaro installation - brand new laptop this time. Everything has been pretty solid so far apart from one thing - I have no sound.
I’ve got a digital amp with a USB input - If I plug the laptop into that it works like a charm - Same with Bluetooth, but the Sound settings (I’m on Cinnamon) just show nothing except “Dummy device” unless I plug in an external sound device.
The laptop does seem to have speakers so I am assuming some kind of misconfiguration or driver issue but I’m not sure where to start poking about on this one. I tried a switch from pulseaudio to pipewire in the off-chance that would improve things but that made no difference.
