Hey,
I’ve started to have issues with internet connection and/or docker. Still unsure what the root cause is. I’ve noticed the issue some time after doing a update, which updated (among other things) networkmanager from 1.40.6 to 1.40.8. I have however tried to dowgrade it back (even to 1.38), but this didn’t solve the issue.
I have tried on the same connection with another computer and didn’t notice issues - it really does seem my system is the issue. I have not yet been able to test on another connection.
If I run docker pull
, for instance, trying to pull a docker image:
[franck@franck-vee ~]$ docker pull node:18-alpine
18-alpine: Pulling from library/node
c158987b0551: Downloading 3.21MB/3.371MB
aabd449b9131: Downloading 46.51MB/46.59MB
756e97429a30: Downloading 2.326MB/2.355MB
1ee3f64a4fc8: Waiting
The 3 layers are near-completion, and just seem to get stuck there forever. Then if I try to ping anything, or load a webpage, I seem to be connected to the network but nothing is reachable. To restore decent connection, I can turn on/off the network manager. That tends to work.
I removed & re-installed docker (and docker-compose), but that didn’t help either.
I’m a bit unsure as to what to check next.
