Need non technical translation / step by step guide for solution found in forum

Hi,

I have several issues with graphic and sound and in addition a flatpak that does not update, nor can I remove it in the software manager. Now I found an entry that it seems like the issues might be linked.

The thread describes the problem (I might not have 12 versions, not even sure how to find out) - and there is a solution flagged, but I had Manjaro for a decade on a Linux dedicated hardware and never had to open the konsole - so I have no clue how to implement the solution.
(My exact file is org.freedesktop.Platform freedesktop-sdk-25.08.6)

Maybe someone can translate it to a “noob” version?

Thanks a lot, any help highly appreciated.

Then it is time to learn that the console is your friend.
What happens if you just type

flatpak update

?

I don’t see the connection - the reference topic is about a system with network wide blocking mechanism.

It is also a topic about using a flatpak’ed version of the Nvidia driver.

How does this relate to your system?

Changes complete.

I do try to set up my Nvidia video and audio correctly and struggle. So searching the forum for solutions I learned that the flatpak is connected to Nvidia, but I guess it is best to post my system details in the right subforum and ask for general help to set up Nvidia than to get lost with one flatpak that does not update.

I took that under consideration (for too long) when switching from Ubuntu to Manjaro. I am sure I will do worse in Ubuntu by now and have the same or similar issues with this hardware. Remember the nightmare run it on MAC - took weeks. Willing to (re)learn and invest in Manjaro rather than other distro. But thanks for the reminder.
