It’s rare for a laptop to contain a discrete sound card, as audio capability is built into all modern motherboards. Especially since your audio works normally, I would assume it is for a specialized purpose - either enabling specific hardware, or extra high quality sound. Doing a little bit of research, I wasn’t able to find much about the card in question or your computer model. The Lenovo website mentions something called “Nahimic”, but that appears to just be drivers rather than hardware.

Does your sound feel high quality? Are you able to use wired headphones and HDMI audio? There is a dropdown labeled “profile”, what options are available and do you notice anything different with them?

At the end of the day, if nothing is wrong, it probably doesn’t need to be touched.

Can you post alsamixer on console.

Maybe the sound is muted.

Can you also post pacmd list-sinks ?

I can use wired headphones but I cant say if it is high quality or not. I dont trust my ears. There is only off option.

list-sinks output:

alsamixer:

Do the speakers work correctly ?
When the wired earphones work, then there must be something with the speakers (wires).

speakers work fine too

Can you try to switch the sound card using alsamixer (F6).
