To put it simple:
I installed the Manjaro-Plamsa and the first time actually installed the network device (the wifi). Everything was great until something happened to the boot so I just reinstalled from scratch.
Now on ‘take 2’ of reinstalling everything the driver didn’t ‘take’ and blutooth is the only working part of it. Like wtf? I wish I just fixted the boot the first time I did this.
below is command cut for only network:

Different ISO? Different kernel?
EpicSkyler:
Like wtf?
How elucidating. Please be respectful of everyone and their time.
I’m not sure what this is supposed to mean?
You believe that a clean install should have instead silently bailed out and done some automagic fix of your previous boot problem on its own?
Here’s that full output you asked for

Questions:
a) is a ms-windows installed (dual boot) or was ms-windows installed previous ?
b) is there a “hotkey” of the laptop. some laptops use a “magic key” like keep on/off switch pressed for a specific time (e.g. 30 seconds) to reset the hardware ? check the manufacturer-manual/internet for this.
c) is there a bios setting “ASPM” ? if so please disable this option for testing.
I wish it was a laptop. I’ve read around and it seems like they have an easy solution.
I’ll do that now:

what about the windows questions ?
Oh yeah sorry about that. No, windows wasn’t installed beforehand
Olli:
sudo dmesg | grep mt792
Output:
[ 5.925144] mt7921e 0000:0f:00.0: enabling device (0000 -> 0002)
[ 7.117823] mt7921e 0000:0f:00.0: driver own failed
[ 7.117876] mt7921e: probe of 0000:0f:00.0 failed with error -5
As much as I wish this worked. I did do it again for sanity checking. Nothing
Olli:
sudo modprobe mt7921e
Omg, I f-ing hate hardware sometimes
I decided to look around a bit in the meantime and all these laptops keep recommending shutting off/turn off switch for a good period of time.
So the solution is to unplug everything…
