Mount: /new_root: can’t read superblock on /dev/sda2

So I was downloading a big file and suddenly my laptop shut down because of low battery. After turning it on this showed up:

Mount: /new_root: can’t read superblock on /dev/sda2.
You are now being dropped into an emergency shell.
sh: can’t access tty; job control turned off
[rootfs ]#

Please help me

You need to boot from a USB and run fsck on the root drive. Then try to [chroot]( into the system to see if you can access it without problems.

Thank you so much! It worked!
