Monitor will not shutdown after Sleep

I have already created a similar topic. However, much time has passed, I got a new monitor. I thought that the problem was in the old monitor that I used before.
I have two monitors:

  • Monitor-1: DVI-D-1 pos: bottom-r model: Philips PHL 246E9Q res: 1920x1080
    hz: 60 dpi: 93 diag: 604mm (23.8")
  • Monitor-2: HDMI-A-1 pos: primary,top-left model: Philips 32M1C5500V
    res: 2560x1440 hz: 144 dpi: 93 diag: 800mm (31.5")

I previously had a Samsung monitor, which is very old, instead of 32M1C5500V.

What’s wrong?

When both monitors are connected via cable (physically), they do not turn off after the time specified in the KDE Plasma System Settings. If I physically disconnect one of the monitors, it turns off after the time specified.
That is, if both monitors are physically connected, they do not turn off. Even if one of them is disabled programmatically (using the switching widget or in the settings). The following happens when the monitors’ turn-off time is reached (if they are both physically connected):

    1. When 3 minutes are reached, both monitors go to sleep mode.
    1. They go out.
    1. They go out for a few seconds and then light up again, as if I moved the mouse or pressed a keyboard key.

This happens, of course, when I do not move the mouse or touch the keyboard. This happens even with the mouse and keyboard physically disconnected from the PC.

It is inconvenient for me to physically disconnect (disconnect the DVI cable from the monitor) the second monitor every time, so that the main monitor turns off after a specified time (3 minutes, for example). It is also inconvenient for me to turn off the main monitor with a button every time when one monitor is turned off programmatically (via settings). With each new update, I hope that this will be fixed, but they still haven’t fixed it.
Tell me what can be done?
I tried to write a bash code that turns off the monitors via certain commands, but it didn’t help. The situation with my script at that time was similar to what happens without a script (they turn on again).

Once I came across that the problem may be that the video card has DVI + HDMI outputs. But I already doubt this information.

The thread title has been changed for clarity.

As your issue might involve aspects of Sleep/Hibernation, please provide full system information (see below).

Also, as you are using multiple monitors; I suggest to include some information about whatever KVM you might be using.

I’m sure someone will help when they are able.

Regards.
