Monitor doesn’t suspend or turn off for energy saving

Hello!! :grinning:

I’ve upgraded my old Ryzen 3 1200 CPU + AMD RX 550 card to a newer Ryzen 5 5600G. Now my monitor doesn’t turn off despite the power management settings(5 min in my case).

I’ve tried KDE with Xorg, it wakes up almost immediately. In Gnome+Wayland, it gets a black screen, but still doesn’t turn off.

However, I can put my PC to sleep from the power menu option.

This is my inxi -v7azy:

I’ve tried kernel 6.3.5 and 6.1.31, the same behaviour.

I’ve searched for info in the forum, but all the threads are quite old, and don’t offer any fix for my issue, also in the Arch wiki, no results…
Any idea about what’s going wrong?

Thank you very much and very best regards!! :grinning: :grinning:

post output from:

ls /etc/modprobe.d

did you tried it in the live usb?

Hello,
Here the outputs:
mhwd -l -li

First:

Third:

Tomorrow will try with a live-usb, however, I don’t have too much hope…

Best regards. :grinning:

you should have there some config from mhwd…
and so that i understand, you can normally suspend from the power menu options without problems?
also create a new test user in system settings, reboot, log in with it, and test…

Hello!! :grinning:

The output from mhwd is posted inside the summary, free driver as usual.

I’ve created a new user, but still the same issue, black screen instead of turning off the display after five minutes.

Exactly, that is.

Best regards!! :grinning:

Hello!!
After reading this so looooong thread:

I’ve found a solution/workaround: Disable the auto input feature on my monitor.

Now, the display is suspended as usual.

Thank you very much and best regards!! :grinning:
