Minizip nagging for update

Even if I install the update, it immediately nags again to be updated.

great - now remove the image in your initial topic

You are welcome!
And if you have any ideas how to troubleshoot the issue, please share…

You are on unstable - judging from your package version - a new version is in testing 1.3.1-1.

I venture a guess

  • you have enabled AUR and the check AUR for updates

Disable if you have - and I think the nag goes away.

Yes, I was on unstable, so I have very new packages, but I went back to stable branch about a week ago. Can I get this version 1.3.1-1 somehow?

So you are not nagged about an update - but you are informed that your system has packages newer than stable branch metadata?

Well, not exactly. The pamac system icon keeps showing that there is an update waiting for me. So I solved the problem by adding Minizip to the Pamac exception list, until the stable branch catches up to the current state of my system.

Be aware that after switching to a more stable branch you will receive messages from pacman, informing about newer packages installed than available in the repo. Don’t be alarmed as the situation will resolve itself when the packages reaches your current branch.

Or downgrade it as described here.

Downgrading the whole system actually created more problems of the same type.
But downgrading just Minizip by using manjaro-downgrade seems to work.
