Hi @guillopacheco,

Have you tried in X11 yet?

You might be better using an installed version such as Flatpak or from the AUR. (I use the latter on Manjaro, the former on Mint).

Whilst far from perfect, hopefully the Linux client will see some improvement and is likely more capable than a browser-based instance.

I would hazard a guess that the browsers are somewhat restricted regarding what system resources they can access. :man_shrugging:

Use a Chromium-based browser. For this reason, I’ve switched to Vivaldi for work-related browsing. It just works better than Firefox.

There is no AUR or flatpak or any other MS-Teams client. It only works in the browser.

And use X11, not Wayland. Screen sharing is notoriously bad with wayland. (The security concept does not allow that, and poking holes doesn’t make much sense, right?)

Are you sure about that?

pamac search -a teams-for-linux
teams-for-linux-wayland-hook 2-1 AUR
Pacman hook to change teams-for-linux to start with electron flags to
start with wayland after install or upgrade.
teams-for-linux-git 1.11.3.r0.gb411431-1 AUR
Unofficial Microsoft Teams client for Linux using system electron (main
    branch).
teams-for-linux-bin 1.12.5-1 AUR
Unofficial Microsoft Teams for Linux client (binary version)
teams-for-linux 1.12.6-1 AUR
Unofficial Microsoft Teams client for Linux using Electron.

I’ve just installed the last one in the list on my other machine, as I’m temporarily using my Mint HDD in this one.

On Mint I used:

sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
flatpak install flathub com.github.IsmaelMartinez.teams_for_linux

… Should work on Manjaro as well, but check first! (I’d never used Flatpak before this).

thank you for your response, yes i,ve tried x11 and same thing, I’ll try the flatpak

thank you for your response, I was working this last year with brave, the error appeared and then tried with chromium and firefox. I’ll try the flatpak and aur.

thank you!, I installed the AUR package and the screen sharing worked again.
