Microsoft Azure VPN Client?

I have installed the Azure VPN Client, but when I try to connect, it does not work. The “Status Logs” output only display a timestamp, and the text “Dialing VPN Connection…” (and yes, there is a typo in “Dialing”).

There is a Flutter error, but I have no idea is that is related.

There are no log files in /var/log/ (where they are said to be located), and when I click “Show Logs Directory” in the GUI, nothing shows up:

There is one relevant post, but I am not sure if the original poster ever got it working:

What is the benefit of using Microsoft’s VPN Client?

You should research the official Microsoft documentation before asking your fellow members.

And you should also ensure you check the comment track of the package on AUR.

Especially the part about systemd-resolved - which Manjaro does not enable by default.

See why and how to enable systemd-resolved (don’t let the NordVPN mention fool you into thinking it is irrelevant)

It is the only client that supports Microsoft Entra ID, at least according to the documentation.

Yes, I had completely overlooked the old comments on page two of the AUR page. All I had to do was to add VERSION="0" at the end of /etc/os-release. Then, it worked.

So, thank you @linux-aarhus !

That makes sense - I thought it must be something like that - after a quick glance at the documentation.

It was also a thought - since it provides access to the infrastructure created on Azure.
