Mega app crashes when I click on it on the taskbar on the right! Is there a fix? I use kde plasma.
I moved your topic to AUR - this is a custom package - I suggest you rebuild it - as custom packages may cease functioning without warning.
Please see → [Need-To-Know] About Manjaro and AUR
sudo pacman-mirrors -aS unstable
sudo pacman -Syu base-devel
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/megasync.git
cd megasync
makepkg -is
Same problem!
Thanks for that, now the Mega app won’t start at all after i resart computer!
I have a mega account - as I recall - not in use - perhaps it has been removed - I can check - but my checks rarely reproduce the issue - I don’t why - on rare occasions the issue is verifed - but that is not the rule.
Sometimes the configuration files for an application goes bonkers.
You could try to exit the app - then move the existing configs to a backup location and relaunch the application.
Did you get a message like this during build ?
==> ERROR: Could not resolve all dependencies.
I did so I had to use - instead of makepkg
pamac build
because pamac is capable of building and installing the custom dependencies required by the original PKGBUILD
The final result is
==> Leaving fakeroot environment.
==> Finished making: megasync 5.3.0.0-2 (ons 17 jul 2024 13:52:36 CEST)

Launching the application presents no issues
I went back to yandex disk
I added the Maga repository rather than use the AUR. I haven’t had any crashes or problems.
Which mega package did you use ? There’s megasync and megasync bin. I don’t use mega anymore but remember in the past i had to switch to megasync.bin to get it working
